レーベル運営を通じてAkufen、Portable 等の数多くの名盤を世に送り出し、長年にわたりミニマル・テクノ・シーンを牽引。そして、 Soundvariation シリーズに代表される自身のプロダクションで名声を不動のものとしたAndy Vaz。近年は、レーベル Yore Recordsをベースにデトロイト・シカゴを基軸としたよりピュアなハウス・テクノ・サウンドを追求し続けている。今回、約4年ぶりの来京。さらに深みを増したハウス・スピリット溢れるプレイを堪能してください。
そして、パリ、マイアミを中心に精力的に活動するハウス・プロデューサー/DJ、Wolf Storyが、METROで初プレイ！ パリの名門クラブREX CLUBでレジデントDJ、Paris Techno Paradeで行われた1000人規模イベントの１つをオーガナイズするなどの活動に加え、楽曲制作も非常に勢いがあり、Nervous Records、Nite Grooves、KMS、Yoshitoshi Recordings、Get Physical Music、Great Stuff Recordings 等々、数々の著名レーベルからリリースを重ねている。

ミニマルテクノシーンにおける最重要人物であったAndy Vazは、クラフトワークを生んだドイツのデュッセルドルフ出身。
Akufen等、世界中から才能あるアーティストを集め歴史的名盤を数々残した、〈Background Recordings〉と、ミニマルを基点にディープハウス路線に急接近した〈A Touch Of Class〉という2つのレーベルの成功。そして[—] (Sound Variation) シリーズに代表される自身のプロダクションで、世界的に不動の名声を博するも、その後流行スタイルと化し蔓延したミニマルサウンドと決別し、2007年ケルンに拠点を移し新しく〈Yore Records〉をスタートさせた。
デトロイト・シカゴの古き良きハウス・テクノサウンドに焦点を当て、持ち前のバイタリティと深い経験値を武器に、Rick Wade、Alton Miller、Terrence、Dixon、Xtrak等のオリジネーターを中心に、Dubbyman、Kez YM、Marcello Napoletano、といった世界に散らばるポストデトロイトの旗手も加え、良質な作品を続々リリース。短期間でレーベルに対する絶大な信頼を獲得。一方自身もPatrice Scottとの「Sprit EP」、Alton Millerをヴォーカルに起用した「Different Hours Revisited」、Trus’Me等豪華リミキサー陣を起用した「Different Times/You Got remixes」、インドツアー後にリリースされた「Shadow City」などの話題盤をコンスタントにリリースし、スマッシュヒットを飛ばした。
その独創的なサウンドは10年に渡る活発なライブ活動に裏打ちされたダンス・マテリアル。Andyは数え切れないほどのクラブやフェスティバルでのライブアクトを経て、国際的に高い評価を獲得し、現在も常に世界各地からのブッキングが絶えることはない。ベルリンの世界最高峰ハウスクラブPanorama Barで開催されたYore label night、南アメリカ、インドツアーなども大成功に収め、2016年フルアルバム「House Warming」をリリース。毎年数多くのリリースを重ね、今後の活躍から目が離せない。
Andy Vaz hails from Düsseldorf, Germany, the breeding ground of Kraftwerk. Since 1997, Andy manages and curates Background Recordings, internationally acclaimed as being one of the most instrumental labels to concentrate on what people refer to as: minimal techno.
Long before Minimal Techno turned into a genre, and subgenre after subgenre were invented, Andy has already been concentrating on providing a cultural conduit for true minimal electronic music. Some of the most influential international musicians of the minimal electronic music movement had their works presented on his Background Imprint. Artists such as: Akufen, Sutekh, Jan Jelinek, Todd Sines, Terrence Dixon, Jeff Milligan, Submania, Rhythm Maker, Kit Clayton, Ectomorph, Deadbeat, Baby Ford, Stewart Walker, Donnacha Costello, Geoff White, Smyglyssna, Portable, Frivolous and many others have graced the Background stage. The Label has been a major force in the presentation of minimal techno, introducing and educating the world to the geographic variable influences that exist within the genre.
As the years have passed, house music and techno have fused, segregated, split and recombined in countless ways. Both techno and house have drawn influences from one another to create hybrids that have changed the face of music as we know it. Andy could not ignore his undeniable appreciation for house music and therefore, decided to start a second label in order to help facilitate the growing relationship between global deep house and minimal techno: “A touch of Class “ was born.
In 2000, Andy Vaz has released his own material. At first he started his Sound Variation [—] series. A set of 10 conceptual releases, where all works were defined by the criteria of re-use, recycling of same instrumentations, within the context of boundless compositional approaches. Free Jazz was the teacher.
Next to the series Andy Vaz also started putting out minimal techno & deep house dance material. Music, that is focused on the Groove and is based on his rich experiences as an internationally rewarded Live Act. Apart from having played countless clubs, festivals and venues, he’s done everything from the legendary “Liquid Room” in Tokyo to the Mutek Festival in Mexico. Andy has build up an excellent reputation as a crowd shaking and unique sounding live act. Known for extended two hour dance live-sets to more abstract listening performances Andy proves to be diverse and suitable in various musical contexts.
In march 2007 Vaz launched a new label called “YORE”, which will focus on the authentic old school Detroit & Chicago House Sound with original artists such as Rick Wade, Chez Damier, Terrence Dixon, Todd Sines, Alton Miller and others, presenting a new platform for these artists as well as for himself, to ensure spreading his musical visions further to new audiences. In 2010 Andy strated his own online Radio-show “House of Hope”. Later in 2011 he released his critically acclaimed second full lenght artist Album “Straight Vacationing” which turned out to be a major success worldwide.
Wolf Story (Au Fil Du Son/ from Paris, France)
Wolf Story, based in Paris, is a house and techno artist who has been making waves in the underground music scene for over 20 years. Known for his unique blend of house, techno and Indie Dance, Wolf Story draws inspiration from the likes of Popof and Laurent Garnier. lived in Miami for 10 years, where he held a weekly residency in Fort Lauderdale, before relocating to Paris. It all started in the 90s when Wolf Story(Rico) began DJing vinyls with Popof, an experience that would shape his musical direction. He went on to become a resident DJ at the legendary Rex Club in Paris, honing
his craft and building a dedicated fanbase. In addition to his success as a solo artist, Wolf Story is also the driving force behind the new collective Au Fil Du Son, he recently organized an event during Techno Parade in Paris which drew over 1000 attendees. Wolf Story’s upcoming release, “Human Life,” features Grammy award winner Jinadu and is set to drop on Yoshitoshi Records.

様々なユニットを経て、2003 年より関西を中心に活動を開始。テクノ、 ハードミニマルのサウンドにアナログシンセ、ヴォーカル、メタルパーカッション等 のライブパフォーマンスをおこない話題を集めてきたが、2014年よりシンセ・ ニューウェイヴをコンセプトにキーボーディストのメンバーを加え、完全ヴォーカル スタイルの新生BODILとして活動を開始。現在まで、月数本のライブをコンスタントに休むことなく行っている。 2017年7月には、LIQUIDROOM13周年で電気グルーヴのオープニングアクトを務めた。2021年、Transmission Kyotoから『Hölle und Himmel』 (TMDG001) をデジタル・リリース、そして昨年、フルアルバム 『KÖRPERKOMPLEX』を Rote Lippen Kyotoからリリースしている。

90年代より関西を中心に音楽活動を開始。現在、主に、Live PA / Djとして活動中。 2007年、チャートで上位を獲得し、ロングラン・ヒットを記録したカナダのレーベル・Dirty Worksからリリースされたアルバム”Calling of Amon”をかわきりにコンスタントに楽曲をリリース。そして、2011年より主宰Vinyl レーベル・Transit Records Kyotoをス タートさせた。ファースト・リリースとして、デトロイトのレジェンドDJの一人、Terrence Parkerの作品を、2013年にはレーベルの第2弾として、自身の作品”Transit EP” (Tagtrumer Remix収録)(TR-001)をリリースした。2015年には、Hiroshi Watanabe氏とのカップリングEP “The Bridge of Sounds EP”(TR-003)、2016年には、ベルリンのアーティストBee Lincolnとともに”Transition EP”(TR-004)、2017年6月、ベルリンの名門レーベルLebensfreudeのGunneとZuckermannのリミックスを収録した”Without End Hour EP(TR-005)”をリリース、Tyree CooperやGene FarrisといったレジェンドDj達からサポートを受けた。
2011年から現在に至るまで、計10回のドイツでのDJツアーを行い、テクノ・ミニマル系最高峰ク ラブのTresor.Berlinをはじめ、Wilde Renate、GoldenGate、Cookies、Ipse Berlin, Chalet等々、ベルリンの主要クラブに出演の他、フランクフルト、ハンブルグ、マンハイム等のクラブ、ハイデルベルク郊外の千人規模の山頂でのフェス等、幅広く出演している。さらに、2018年から毎年、オーストリアでもプレイし、ウィーン、グラーツ、リンツで公演している。こういった日本とドイツでの活動を通じ、ドイツのラジオ局に注目され、2014年、南西ドイツ放送(Südwestrundfunk)のプログラムで、自身とTransit Records Kyotoが取り上げられ約30分の番組として放送された。 2018年1月、名門レーベルTrenton Records主宰ReynoldのRemixを収録した”The Phase at Midnight EP”(TR-006)をリリース。2000 and Oneをはじめとした著名アーティストから高い評価を得ている。そして、2020年10月には、”Journey in My Head” (TRDG004)、2021年12月31日、“String Vibrates” (TRDG005)をリリースしている。
Ryoma is a track maker and DJ who is well known in the Japanese underground. He started his career as a musician in the early 90’s. He has had a lot of experience in a variety of underground bands as a guitarist and vocalist. He then started to participate in the club music scene playing live and DJing, and was nominated as a finalist of the Roland Groove Competition in 2000. He currently plays an activepart in the Kansai scene, playing live and DJing in Kyoto and Osaka, and organizing the locally famous event Undermine at Kyoto’s legendary Club Metro. His strong livesets have an excellent reputation and he has played with prolific domestic and international artists including Juan Atkins aka Model 500, Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Terrence Parker, Laurent Garnier, Stefan Goldmann, Elektro Guzzi, Gunne&Zuckermann, DJ3000, Rennie Foster, Hiroshi Watanabe aka Kaito, Edward, Oskar Offermann and many more.
In 2009 he started to run his own record shop “Transit Records Kyoto” and as of next year started to run his own label, Transit Records Kyoto. The first release was Detroit legend Terrence Parker’s “Beautiful Life” with Ryoma’s remix and another Kyoto artist DJ Itoi (Ken’ichi Itoi). And the second release was his own title “Transit EP” including the remix by Tagträumer² (Black Fox Music/Rauschzeit). After it, He released Stefan Goldmann’s brilliant track “Empty Suit” for the 3rd release. The 4th release was the coupling EP with Hiroshi Watanabe (Kompakt/Transmat) and 5th release was the coupling EP with Bee Lincoln. In 2017, the 6th vinyl “Ryoma Sasaki – Without End Hour EP” including Gunne, Zuckermann’s remixes was released. It got the good supports from famous great Djs like Tyree Cooper and Gene Farris. Now the label is preparing Ryoma’s new work for the 8th vinyl release.
Until now, he did the Germany tour 10 times, and started Austria tour in 2018: played at many clubs: Tresor. Berlin, Wilde Renate, Golden Gate, Chalet, Cassiopeia, ipse.Berlin, Paloma, Molox Club, Mikz, Crack Bellmer, Silbergold, Café Koz, Konfuzius Franz, Kraniche Bei Den Elbbruecken, Kurzbar, Kaprowbar, Villa Nachttanz, Rhiz (Vienna), Schlot (Linz) etc…

Ouchi-S is a DJ who performs mainly in Kyoto and Osaka. He started his career as Funk DJ in 2010, playing mainly funk,soul and jazz music of the 60’s 70’s. He participated in a Kyoto’s prominent deep funk party『FUNK78』at that time. As he advanced in DJ’ing, he made a commitment to build his career by playing house music like detroit house, deep house and tech house. He also loves the vinyl and most of the time pilots turntables, delivering a sound which boldly expresses his funkness. Currently he is playing in an underground techno/house party『Connected Underground』,『Deep Underground』,『yelltail』, all held in “Kyoto Metro” that is legendary night club in this historical city. In 2018, he released his own mix tape”inspired by there.
