90年代のドイツのIndie Rockシーンから現れ最も成功をおさめ、今やドイツにおいて知らない人はほぼいないと言われる国民的バンドTocotronic。
そのオリジナルメンバーで、ドラマーをつとめるArne Zankのソロ・ライブセットが企画開始から約5年の年月を経て遂に実現！！
■ARNE ZANK (Tocotronic)
アルネ・ツァンクは、非常に高く評価されているドイツのインディ・ロック・バンド Tocotronic (トコトロニック)のバンド結成当時からのメンバーであり、最初のドラマーである (結成当時、アルネ・ツァンクはドラマーではなかった。ドラマーがいないためドラムを始めた)。巨大フェス・ロラパルーザへの出演に代表されるような大規模なツアーやアルバム製作等、Tocotronicでの活動は非常に多忙であるため、ソロでの音楽活動は活発ではないが、厳選されたショーでのみ彼はソロプロジェクトを行っている。2019年10月、彼のライブを経験することが出来る稀有な機会が日本において実現した。彼の言葉で言えば、今回のライブのタイトルは、彼のソロ作品「Love and Hate from A to Z」のタイトルの中のにあるLoveの方に焦点を当てた、すなわち「Love from A to Z」のさらに別ヴァージョンである。
「Love and Hate from A to Z」。このタイトルはあたかも感情の用語集のようである。そして、レナード・コーエンのイコノグラフィー的作品との関連を想起させる。事実、「Love and Hate from A to Z」は、Folkpop、Minimal、House musicなどといった多様な音楽の影響と技術的に多才なミュージシャンたちを結びつけたアルネ・ツァンクのソロ・アルバムのタイトルである。折衷主義といったことを省みず、可愛さとパンクのひらめきを全体的に絶妙に、かつ同時にミックスするということを創り出している。
ARNE ZANK (Tocotronic)
Zank is first and foremost founding member and drummer of the criticially acclaimed German indie rock band Tocotronic.
With his solo project Arne Zank only plays carefully selected shows – in October 2019 there is one of the rare opportunities to experience his music live in Japan. Or, in his own words, id est the title of yet another of his volumes: Love from A to Z.
Love and Hate from A to Z. That title sounds like a glossary of emotions – and awakens associations to Leonhard Cohen's iconographic volume. In fact, Love and Hate from A to Z is the title of Arne Zank's solo album in which the versatile musician skillfully combines influences as diverse as folkpop, minimal and house music. Despite all eclecticism, Zank creates an overall subtle mix with flashes of kawaii and punk at the same time.
■DJ COMPUFUNK (Compufunk Records)
今年で21年目を迎える老舗レコード・ショップ"COMPUFUNK RECORDS"(コンピューファンク レコーズ)主宰。DJ LOVEGOD名義で1990年代よりDJとして活動し様々なPatyをオーガナイズ、出演。楽曲も国内レーベルの Sound-Channel、 Grasswax、 Jet Set 、等への提供や、デトロイト"DJ 3000" が主催する MOTECH から4タイトルをデジタル・リリース。同レーベルのコンピレーション・アルバム"Broken Research 1 & 2"にも収録。また、オリジナル & DJ DEX (Underground Resistance061) Remixを含COMPUFUNKヴァイナル・レーベルを始動。レーベル第２弾として、Mark Flash(Underground Resistance078)Remixを収録した"A.I.SOUL EP"をリリース。WESSUN (EX. 土俵ORIZIN) 主宰レーベル"Nu Ance Records"第２弾にも１曲参加。COMPUFUNKヴァイナル・レーベル第３、４弾リリース予定など精力的に活動中。
■BODIL (Node/Contakt)
様々なユニットを経て、2003年より関西を中心に活動を開始。テクノ、ハードミニマルのサウンドにアナログシンセ、ヴォーカル、メタルパーカッション等のライブパフォーマンスをおこない話題を集めてきたが、2014年よりシンセ・ニューウェイヴをコンセプトにキーボディストのサポートメンバーを加え、完全ヴォーカルスタイルの新生BODILとして活動を行っている。
2017年7月、LIQUIDROOM13周年で電気グルーヴのオープニングアクトを務め話題を呼ぶ。
■ Ryoma Sasaki (Transit Records Kyoto)
Ryoma is a track maker and DJ who is well known in the Japanese underground. He started his career as a musician in the early 90’s. He has had a lot of experience in a variety of underground bands as a guitarist and vocalist. He then started to participate in the club music scene playing live and DJing, and was nominated as a finalist of the Roland Groove Competition in 2000. He currently plays an activepart in the Kansai scene, playing live and DJing in Kyoto and Osaka,
and organizing the locally famous event Undermine at Kyoto’s legendary Club Metro. His strong livesets have an excellent reputation and he has played with prolific domestic and international artists including Juan Atkins aka Model 500, Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Terrence Parker, Laurent Garnier, Stefan Goldmann, Elektro Guzzi, Andy Vaz, Gunne&Zuckermann, DJ3000, Rennie Foster, Hiroshi Watanabe aka Kaito(Kompakt/Transmat), , Bee Lincoln and many more. In 2009 he started to run his own record shop “Transit Records Kyoto” and as of next year started to run his own label, Transit Records. The first release was Detroit legend Terrence Parker’s “Beautiful Life” 12” with remixes by myself (Ryoma Sasaki) and another Kyoto artist, DJ Itoi. And second release was the own title "Transit EP" including a remix of his track by Tagträumer² (Black Fox Music/Rauschzeit). After it, He released Stefan Goldmann's brilliant track "Empty Suit" as the 3rd release. The 4th release was the coupling EP with Hiroshi Watanabe(Kompakt/Transmat) and 5th release was the coupling EP with Bee Lincoln. Now the label is preparing Remix EP of Ryoma's work for the 8th vinyl release.
Until now, he did the Germany tour 10 times, and started Austria tour in the last year: played at many clubs: Tresor. Berlin, Wilde Renate, Golden Gate, Chalet, Cassiopeia, ipse.Berlin, Paloma, Molox Club, Mikz, Crack Bellmer, Silbergold, Café Koz, Konfuzius Franz, Kraniche Bei Den Elbbruecken, Kurzbar, Kaprowbar, Villa Nachttanz, Rhiz (Vienna), Schlot (Linz) etc...
90年代初頭より本格的に音楽活動を開始。現在、主に、Live PA/Djとして活動中。 2007年、 カナダのレーベル・Dirty Worksより、チャートで上位を獲得し、長期にわたってチャート・イン するロングラン・ヒットを記録したアルバム"Calling of Amon"をリリース。そして、その後も コンスタントに楽曲をリリースし、2011年よりVinyl レーベル・Transit Records Kyotoをス タート。ファースト・リリースとして、デトロイトのレジェンドDJの一人、Terrrence Parkerの作品を、2013年にはレーベルの第2弾として、自身の作品"Transit EP" (Tagtrumer Remix収録)(TR-001)をリリースした。2015年には、Hiroshi Watanabe氏とのカップリングEP "The Bridge of Sounds EP"(TR-003)、2016年には、ベルリンのアーティストBee Lincolnとともに"Transition EP"(TR-004)、2017年6月、ベルリンの名門レーベルLebensfreudeのGunneとZuckermannのリミックスを収録した"Without End Hour EP(TR-005)"をリリースした。2011年から現在に至るまで、計9回のドイツでのDJツアーを行い、テクノ・ミニマル系最高峰ク ラブのTresor.Berlinをはじめ、Wilde Renate、GoldenGate、Cookies、Ipse Berlin, Chalet等々、ベルリンの主要クラブに出演の他、フランクフルト、ハンブルグ、マンハイム等のクラブ、ハイデルベルク郊外の千人規模の山頂でのフェス等、幅広く出演している。さらに、昨年は、オーストリアのウィーンとグラーツでも公演した。こういった日本とドイツでの活動を通じ、ドイツのラジオ局に注目され、2014年、南西ドイツ放送(Sdwestfunk)の番組で、自身とTransit Records Kyotoが取り上げられ約30分の番組として放送された。2018年1月、名門レーベルTrenton Records主宰ReynoldのRemixを収録した"The Phase at Midnight EP"(TR-006)をリリース。2000 and Oneをはじめとした著名アーティストから高い評価を得ている。現在、自身の作品のRemix EP (TR-007/Vinyl)をはじめ数作品のリリースを予定している。
■Ouchi-S
Ouchi-S is a DJ who performs mainly in Kyoto and Osaka.
He started his career as Funk DJ in 2010, playing mainly funk,soul and jazz music of the 60's 70's. He participated in a Kyoto’s prominent deep funk party『FUNK78』at that time.
As he advanced in DJ’ing, he made a commitment to build his career by playing house music like detroit house, deep house and tech house.
He also loves the vinyl and most of the time pilots turntables, delivering a sound which boldly expresses his funkness. Currently he is playing in an underground techno/house party『Connected Underground』,『Deep Underground』,『yelltail』, all held in "Kyoto Metro" that is legendary night club in this historical city.In 2018, he released his own mix tape"inspired by there".
